Luxury Residential Painting in Hilltop, Denver
DAECO Painting is a Denver-based luxury residential painting and finishing contractor serving Hilltop and homes throughout the Denver area since 2003. We specialize in high-end interior and exterior painting for established homes, custom residences, historic properties, and architectural interiors where preparation quality, finish precision, and protection of the home are essential.
01 · CONTEXT MATTERS
Why Painting Hilltop Homes Requires a More Detailed Approach
Hilltop is an established Denver residential neighborhood with homes spanning multiple architectural eras and styles. That variety matters when evaluating a painting project. A prewar residence with original plaster, detailed millwork, and existing coatings can present very different preparation requirements from a contemporary custom home with smooth drywall and modern finishes.
Experienced residential painters evaluate the home before determining the painting approach. Substrate type, existing coating condition, surface irregularities, repairs, architectural details, lighting, and the desired finish all influence the preparation and coating system.
Denver's environment adds another consideration. Intense sunlight, dry conditions, seasonal temperature changes, and exposure can affect both the substrate and the performance of exterior coatings. Interior conditions can also influence how coatings dry and level.
The point is simple: a professional residential painting project begins with understanding the home—not simply selecting a paint color and calculating the number of gallons required.
02 · INTERIOR CRAFT
Interior Residential Painting in Hilltop
Precision begins beneath the final coat. DAECO evaluates the relationship between substrate, sheen, lighting, preparation, coating, and application method before finish work begins.
01 · Substrate Evaluation
Plaster, drywall, repairs, and mixed substrates are evaluated before preparation begins.
02 · Level 5 Finishing
For walls and ceilings where critical lighting and a highly refined surface make uniformity especially important.
03 · Cabinet & Millwork Finishing
Controlled preparation and finish systems for cabinetry, doors, built-ins, and architectural millwork.
04 · Fine Paints of Europe
Specialized application experience with Fine Paints of Europe coatings where the specified finish calls for them.
05 · Wallcoverings
Professional wallpaper and wallcovering installation integrated with the condition and preparation of the underlying wall.
"High-gloss and semi-gloss finishes reflect light—and that same reflectivity can expose sanding marks, surface irregularities, and patch transitions that a flatter finish may conceal. The preparation standard required for a high-gloss door is fundamentally different from the preparation required for a typical matte wall."

04 · FINE FINISHES
Fine Finishes and Architectural Painting
Some residential painting projects are defined not simply by color, but by the quality of the finished surface.
DAECO performs specialized painting and finishing work for rooms and architectural elements where sheen, reflection, texture, color, and surface uniformity become part of the architecture.
01 · Ultra-High-Gloss & Mirror Finishes
Multi-stage preparation and controlled application for exceptional depth and reflection. Specialization: Ultra-high gloss Hollandlac & designer collaborations
02 · Cabinet Painting & Refinishing
Durable, controlled finishes for kitchens, built-ins, and detailed cabinetry.
03 · Wood Staining & Lacquer Finishing
Color, grain, sheen, and substrate preparation resolved as one finishing system.
04 · Specialty Decorative Finishes
Selected decorative systems such as Roman clay, Venetian plaster, and limewash where appropriate to the project.
05 · Color Drenching & Accent Wall Systems
Color planned across walls, ceilings, trim, and architectural planes as a unified design element.
Expertise: They have mastered the entire collection of FPE coatings (Eurolux, Hollandlac, and ECO). They are highly unique for their proprietary Atmospheric Prep Protocol (APP). This specific protocol uses climate-calibrated additive management to combat Colorado's altitude and dry environment so the paint levels correctly without imperfections.
